Ladies’ man Sergeant Matthew Boyden (Tony O’Callaghan) joins the ranks at Sun Hill and soon finds that not even the law can protect him from a complicated love life. Meanwhile Chief Superintendent Brownlow (Peter Ellis) is facing grief on all fronts whilst Former Sergeant Tom Penny (Roger Leach), now a security guard, calls on DS Ted Roach (Tony Scannell) for a favour with potential career consequences.
