A lavish adaptation of haunting and passionate novel From acclaimed writer Peter Bowker comes this powerful retelling of Emily Jane Brontë's haunting novel, thrillingly brought to the screen by director Coky Giedroyc.
The story opens in the present with Heathcliff (Tom Hardy) tormented by memories of his soulmate Cathy (Charlotte Riley) and then flashes back to Mr Earnshaw (Kevin R. McNally) bringing Heathcliff to Wuthering Heights as a young boy. Cathy and Heathcliff become inseparable, much to the resentment of Cathy's brother, Hindley.
Years later Cathy is torn between succumbing to her love for Heathcliff or choosing a life of comfort and wealth with Edgar Linton. Cathy turns to loyal maidservant Nelly for advice when she realises that she cannot bear the thought of ever being separated from Heathcliff...
