A snash hit on its original theatrical release, this live-action musical extravaganza from writer/director Lionel Jeffries was released at the height of the Womblemania phenomenon generated by both the television series and Elisabeth Beresford's perennial favourite children's stories. Featuring Mike Batt's memorable songs, Wombling Free contains the vocal Wombling talents of comedy legend David Jason, comedian Janet Brown and Doctor Who/Worzel Gummidge star Jon Pertwee - alongside Bonnie Langford as a little girl who can see and talk to the Wombles.
Young Felicity 'Kim' Frogmorton is a girl who is amazed to see large furry animals cleaning up the rubbish on Wimbledon Common - much to her father's disbelief. Despite this, the little girl is determined to help the Wombles in their quest to Keep Britain Tidy!
