Lady Caroline Lamb (1972) - Limited Edition Blu-ray - Imprint Collection #705

Worldwide first on Blu-ray!

The directing debut of screenwriter Robert Bolt (Doctor Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia), this epic drama recreates a love affair and a front-page scandal from 19th-century British high society, starring Sarah Miles (The Servant), Jon Finch (Macbeth) and Richard Chamberlain (The Last Wave).

Lady Caroline Lamb, dissatisfied in her marriage with high-ranking politician William Lamb, befriends the Romantic poet Lord Byron. Doubts arise about the nature of their relationship as the poet's career suddenly takes off.

The cast is joined by West End stage legends Laurence Olivier and Ralph Richardson, as well as Academy Award winner John Mills (Ryan’s Daughter) and BAFTA winner Margaret Leighton (7 Women). Nominated for two BAFTA awards, Variety described the film as “a lushly, unabashedly romantic - yet tastefully executed - tale”.

1500 copies only.
