The Bill: The Complete Series 1-4

Brought to life as a standalone pilot episode, Woodentop, Geoff McQueen’s hour-length series, The Bill, went on to become an international smash-hit for Thames Television to become Britain’s longest-running police procedural series. Set in the fictional South London district of Sun Hill, the programme spanned twenty-six years and made household names of many of its regulars.

With gritty, realistic storylines and the use of handheld camerawork, audiences were thrust into the heart of the tense day-to-day work and rivalry between uniformed officers and the C.I.D.

This 17-disc set brings together every episode from the first Four Series, introducing long-running characters including DS Ted Roach, Sergeant Bob Cryer, PCs Jim Carver and June Ackland amongst many more.
