Revenge (1971) - Imprint Collection #689

Released in the US as Inn of the Frightened People, director Sidney Hayers (Night of the Eagle) helmed this taut thriller starring Joan Collins, James Booth, and Sinéad Cusack.

Unsatisfied by the police response to the rape and murder of his daughter, Jim Radford takes matters into his own hands, abducting the prime suspect and locking him in the cellar of his pub. But as the family debates what to do with him, and the question of whether they even have the right man hangs over everything, the situation begins to spiral dangerously out of control.

Also released as Terror from Under the House and Behind the Cellar Door, Peter Rogers (known for the Carry On… series) produced this morally troubling picture for the Rank Organisation as part of a special agreement, a bold departure from his usual comedic focus.

A twisted sci-fi drama from director Ralph Thomas (Carry On Regardless, Some Girls Do), Quest for Love stars Tom Bell (The Krays), Joan Collins, and Denholm Elliott (Raiders of the Lost Ark), making its worldwide Blu-ray debut in a brand NEW restoration.

After physicist Colin Trafford demonstrates an experimental particle accelerator, he finds himself trapped in an alternate reality where WWII never happened, mankind has not been to space, and Everest has not been conquered. In this world, he is not a man of science, but an alcoholic, womanising author, with a beautiful wife, Ottilie. When he suddenly returns to his own world, time is running out to find Ottilie and save her life.

Based on the short story Random Quest by the author of The Day of the Triffids, John Wyndham, Joan Collins cited Quest for Love in a 2015 interview as among her proudest performances.

Dark Places (1973) - Imprint Collection #691

Robert Hardy, Christopher Lee, and Joan Collins take us to Dark Places in this psychological 70s horror from director Don Sharp (The Kiss of the Vampire).

When former psychiatric patient Edward Foster inherits a crumbling mansion from a fellow inmate (who murdered his wife and children within its walls), he finds himself increasingly possessed by the dead man's spirit. Meanwhile, a few locals conspire to steal a large amount of money, said to be hidden somewhere on the premises.

Also starring Herbert Lom (The Ladykillers), this “Hammerish horror” (Monthly Film Bulletin) was filmed on location at an old asylum, with the film described by the Daily Breeze as “a masterpiece of its kind... an intense psychological thriller that keeps your eyes glued to the screen”.
