Journalist Steve Sherman meets fashion buyer Samantha Blake on the plane to Paris, and the two clash instantly. When Samantha later undergoes a glamorous makeover, and Steve mistakes her for a high-end call girl, she decides to play along - calling herself Mimi and revelling in the attention. But the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes for either of them to keep up the pretence.
