During World War II, when Shanghai was occupied by the Imperial Japanese Army and ruled by its puppet government, a group of students plot to assassinate a high-ranking official, Mr. Yee, using a honey trap. Wang Jia Zhi, posing as a seductress, is drawn into a dangerous game that will ultimately determine her fate.
Starring Tony Leung Chiu-wai, Tang Wei, Joan Chen and Leehom Wang, the film also won seven Golden Horse awards, including Best Film and Best Director.
