A breezy, sun-drenched comedy thriller directed by Michel Boisrond, Come Dance with Me stars Bardot at the height of her early fame, alongside Henri Vidal and Dawn Addams.

When Virginie's husband is found standing over the body of a blackmailer and dance instructor, she refuses to believe he is guilty and decides the only way to clear his name is to go undercover at the dance studio herself. What follows is a delightfully tangled mystery of suspects, red herrings, and Bardot doing the mambo.

Filmed at the Victorine Studios in Nice, Come Dance with Me showcases Bardot's comedic wiles and is based on the novel The Blonde Died Dancing by American writing duo Kelley Roos.

Legendary director Louis Malle (My Dinner with Andre, Pretty Baby) helmed this intimate semi-autobiographical portrait of fame, starring Bardot opposite Oscar nominee Marcello Mastroianni (8½).

Jill is a young woman whose beauty catapults her from obscurity to international stardom, and who quickly discovers that the life she has stumbled into is not the one she wanted. Besieged by paparazzi, suffocated by public expectation, and unable to live as anything other than an object of desire, she retreats, finding a tentative peace with Fabio, an older theatre director and family friend.

At the time of filming, Bardot was still the most popular and most relentlessly pursued celebrity subject of every newspaper, magazine, and paparazzo in Europe, giving the film a raw immediacy that no script could manufacture.

French New Wave pioneer Jean-Luc Godard's subversive, sun-drenched meditation on love and artistic compromise stars Bardot alongside Michel Piccoli (Topaz), Jack Palance (Sudden Fear), and the renowned Fritz Lang, playing himself.

Paul Javal is hired by a boorish American producer to rewrite a film adaptation of Homer's Odyssey - directed, with quiet disdain, by Fritz Lang. As Paul chases the money, his wife Camille grows cold and distant.

Adapted from Alberto Moravia's 1954 novel, the film was shot on location in Rome and at the Villa Malaparte on Capri, and is widely regarded as one of the finest performances of Bardot’s career.

Louis Malle and Brigitte Bardot reunited for the joyous comedy Viva Maria!, alongside actress Jeanne Moreau (Elevator to the Gallows).

In 1907 Central America, Maria, the daughter of an Irish revolutionary, finds herself adrift after her father's death. She falls in with a travelling circus, where she meets another woman named Maria. Together they stumble into a revolution, discover a talent for striptease, and become unlikely heroes of the oppressed.

Scripted by Jean-Claude Carrière (later Buñuel's great collaborator), the film was shot on location in Mexico with over 1500 extras.
