Los Angeles writer Kelly Olsson (Ann-Margret) is determined to have her short stories printed in the racy men's journal Girl-Lure, but the slick publisher, Ric Colby (Tony Franciosa), dismisses her writing as too sweet and wholesome. So when Kelly crafts "The Swinger," a lurid new story she claims is based on her own sex life, Colby accuses her of being a fraud. Now, to get her tale published, Kelly must pretend to be a wanton degenerate in order to prove the fiction is real.
